If you are ready to commit to one year of Max, you can do so at a 40 percent discount. Every tier of the streaming service is currently on sale — that includes the ad-free 4K version for $140 a year, which works out to $12 a month instead of the usual $20 a month. The cheapest floor is ad-supported and costs $70 per year or $5.83 per month as opposed to $10. In between the two is an ad-free tier without 4K support that costs $105 for a year, where you’d normally pay $192 for 12 months.
Annual subscriptions are currently 40 percent off for new and some existing subscribers.
The deal is open to all new subscribers. Existing subscribers who purchase their service directly from Max.com can also benefit. If you’re a returning subscriber and previously went through Max.com, the Apple App Store, or Google Play, you can also get the discount. Unfortunately, only new subscribers via Fire TV are eligible. The timing of the deal is tied to March Madness promotions, as Max will live stream all games from the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, along with other live sports.
For those who don’t remember, Max is the name given to the streaming service that combines HBO programming with Discovery+ content. While the name may be less memorable, the smoothing of the two services means more content to look at — from brands like HGTV and the Food Network — in addition to HBO’s fine fare like The last of us and A true detective. This is also where you can find Studio Ghibli films and A24 films. plus Our flag means death, although cancelled, was fantastic. There’s a reason we call Max one of the best streaming services out there.
