Apple Vision Pro may soon be launched in many countries, according to a report. The Cupertino-based tech giant unveiled its first mixed reality headset (supporting both augmented reality and virtual reality) at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2023. It later went on sale in the US in 2024 .While there are reports that point to the handset expanding to other regions, the company has yet to share any such plans. But now a report has uncovered clues about which countries could be the first to get Vision Pro hidden in the device’s operating system codes.

The lines of code in VisionOS where the first hints about extending Apple Vision Pro noticed from MacRumors. The virtual keyboard for the device currently only supports the English (US) language. However, the report mentions that the codes suggest that support for 12 more languages will be added.

These 12 languages include Cantonese – Traditional, Chinese – Simplified, English (Australia), English (Canada), English (Japan), English (Singapore), English (UK), French (Canada), French (France), German ( Germany) ), Japanese and Korean. With the inclusion of the language also mentioning the region, the report claims that China, Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany could be the first to see the headset go on sale in their countries. It should be noted that India is not mentioned in the list.

So did Councilor Ming-Chi Kuo last month claimed that the Apple Vision Pro may be introduced in more regions earlier than expected. The main reason for this was cited as a drop in demand for the mixed reality headset. “Due to limited demand growth in the US market, the global launch schedule is moving forward as supply improves,” the tipster said, adding that the headset could be introduced in other countries before WWDC 2024, which is likely to be held in June .

The Apple Vision Pro features a dual Micro OLED display with a total of 23 million pixels. It features a custom 3D lens for augmented reality content in the user’s field of view. Equipped with a comprehensive array of sensors, including main cameras, hand-tracking down cameras, IR illuminators and a LiDAR scanner, it offers detailed spatial recognition. The unit also integrates two individually amplified drivers for custom surround audio. Powered by Apple’s M2 chip and a new R1 chip, it supports 12 cameras, five sensors and six microphones.
