Apple’s first hardware event of the year will take place later today. The digital event, called “Let Loose,” will be streamed live through Apple’s official platforms. As always, Apple hasn’t given any insight into the hardware categories that will appear at the event, but we expect the keynote to announce new products. The iPad Air is expected to come in two sizes, and the iPad Pro is expected to come with an OLED display and an M4 chip.

The Let Loose Apple event will be held today (May 7) at 7:00 AM PT (7:30 PM IST). Will be broadcast live via the company’s YouTube channel. You can also watch it online through the Apple website and the Apple TV app.

No specific details about the launch event have been released yet, but it is speculated that Apple will focus on the iPad Pro and iPad Air this time around. The former is expected to bring notable improvements, including an OLED display, an updated M3 chipset, a revamped rear camera module and a landscape-oriented front camera. The new iPad Pro may have thinner bezels and may come in “glossy and matte screen versions.” It may also offer support for MagSafe wireless charging.

The iPad Air is expected to follow a dual-size strategy and come in a 10.9-inch and larger 12.9-inch screen. It can run on an M2 chip.

In addition to the new tablets, we expect the company to unveil new iPad-related accessories. The event invitation includes illustrations and cartoon graphics of a hand holding a pencil, suggesting the presentation may focus on the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. The Apple Pencil could include a squeeze gesture feature, while the Magic Keyboard could get an aluminum build and a larger trackpad.

Apple’s next scheduled event will be the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024. It will start on June 10, and Apple may introduce new features and updates for its operating systems during the event.

Apple unveiled its first mixed reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, at its annual developer conference, along with new Mac models and upcoming software updates.
