Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile launches ahead of scheduled launch; Day Zero event details

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile wasn’t scheduled to go live for another few hours at the time of this writing. However, many users reported that the Battle Royale game was available for download almost 12 hours ahead of schedule. The information was also officially confirmed by the developers. Since the game is now available, users can play regular Battle Royale matches. However, they will still have to wait until March 22nd for the game’s first campaign, called Operation Day Zero.

After several users posted that the game was available in the early hours of March 21, the official Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile account published on X (formerly known as Twitter), confirming that the game has been made available ahead of its scheduled launch time. It should be noted that the game was scheduled to be available at 9:00 AM PT (9:30 PM IST). However, due to a large influx of players joining, the game’s servers temporarily went down. Separately post addressed the issue and said, “For players who already have Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile available, you may experience some delays in finding matches and connecting as our servers are online.”

The servers came online after a few hours and the game is now running normally. Players can enjoy the various maps and game modes as well as participate in Battle Royale with 120 players. However, there are currently no live campaigns. The game will introduce its first event called Operation Day Zero on March 22, which will allow users to earn rewards by completing challenges.

Operation Day Zero requires players to play on different maps and complete in-game challenges in six zones to earn individual and community rewards. The Verdask and Rebirth Island maps will have these areas where players will need to enter and complete an event action to earn event points (EP). A zone will be considered cleared once players have cumulatively collected the required EP shown in the game. EP collected by a player will go towards both the individual reward and the community reward.

A large number of rewards can be earned by clearing these areas. Some of the individual rewards include the Crimson Blaze Emblem, Nightmare Rift Business Card, Demon’s Claw Combat Knife Weapon Blueprint, Nightmare Inferno Large Decal, and Bloody Reaper Ghost Operator. Some of the community rewards include the large Gilded Devil King decal, the Heavy Thunder M4 weapon blueprint, and the Golden Phantom Ghost operator skin.
