Design and colors
HONOR Magic 6 Pro is coming Black and Epi Green color options and in my case I enjoyed the deep black option. It features a sleek and stylish design, with a camera bulge that adds a unique touch to the device. The back of the phone is covered with a semi-glossy material that not only looks premium but also provides a grippy and fingerprint-resistant surface. The front of the phone boasts a quad-curved OLED display that adds to the premium look and feel of the device. While some may not be fans of curved screens, the Honor Magic 6 Pro manages to strike a balance with its subtle curves.
Unpacking
When you unbox the Honor Magic 6 Pro, you’ll find a minimalist package that includes a USB-C cable and a SIM eject tool. Honor has followed the trend of removing the charger from the box, which may disappoint some users – myself included. However, the Honor Magic 6 Pro still offers a premium unboxing experience with its elegant packaging and attention to detail.
Display
The Honor Magic 6 Pro boasts a stunning 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display that is a joy to behold. With a resolution of 2800 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 453 PPI, the display offers clear and vivid visuals.
LTPO technology allows the display to dynamically switch between 1 and 120Hz refresh rates, ensuring smooth scrolling and gaming experiences. The display also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, providing a more immersive viewing experience. With a peak brightness of over 1500 nits, the Honor Magic 6 Pro’s display is also bright enough to read easily even in direct sunlight.
Camera
The Honor Magic 6 Pro’s camera system is another highlight of the device. It has a 50MP primary camera with f/1.4-2.0 adjustable aperture. This allows for greater control over depth of field and low-light performance.
The phone also features a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 122° field of view, capturing stunning wide-angle photos. However, the standout feature of the camera system is the massive 180MP telephoto camera that offers an impressive 2.5X optical zoom. The camera system is complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide front camera and a 3D time-of-flight sensor, enabling high-quality selfies and accurate depth reading.

Under the hood, the Honor Magic 6 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform, ensuring smooth, lag-free performance. Fortunately, the phone is also equipped with ample RAM and storage options. This allows for seamless multitasking and large file storage. The phone also supports the latest connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring fast and stable connections.
Software
The Honor Magic 6 Pro runs on MagicOS 8.0, which is based on Android 14. Although MagicOS may not be as well known as other Android skins, it offers a clean and intuitive user interface.
The software experience of the Honor Magic6 Pro is stable and smooth, with smooth animations and quick response. Honor has also added some AI features to the software, such as Magic Portal, which allows easy sharing of content between apps. Overall, the Honor Magic 6 Pro’s software is a step in the right direction for Honor, but there’s still room for improvement.
Battery and charging
One of the notable features of the Honor Magic6 Pro is its impressive battery life. The Magic 6 Pro features the company’s second-generation silicon-carbon battery. This means they can pack a higher energy density into the battery than other regular Li-Ion batteries. The phone is equipped with a lithium-silicon battery with a capacity of 5600 mAh, allowing all-day use without the need for frequent charging. This is done EASILY by the battery champ – hands. In daily tests involving navigation, continuous scrolling and media consumption, the Honor Magic 6 Pro consistently delivers impressive battery life, with around three to four hours of screen time and 50% battery remaining at the end of the day. You won’t find another better flagship out there. Period.
When it’s time to charge the device, the Honor Magic 6 Pro supports fast charging with 80W wired and 66W wireless charging, allowing fast and convenient charging.
Sound quality
Honor Magic 6 Pro offers a high-quality audio experience with stereo speakers that deliver clear and immersive sound. Whether you’re watching video, playing games, or listening to music, the audio on the Honor Magic6 Pro is rich and well-balanced. The phone also supports high-quality audio codecs, ensuring that you can enjoy your favorite music and movies in the best possible sound quality. The Honor Magic 6 Pro also features a 3.5mm headphone jack. This allows you to connect wired headphones or speakers for an even better audio experience. Thank God they remembered 😉
Alternatives
Although the Honor Magic 6 Pro is a powerful device with many features, there are several alternatives in the market. Some notable alternatives include the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the Google Pixel 8 Pro. These flagship devices offer their own unique features and strengths, so it’s worth considering them when making a purchase decision. Ultimately, the choice between these devices will come down to individual preferences and priorities.
As mentioned earlier, the HONOR Magic6 Pro is available in Black and Epi Green colors and is priced at €1,299 (USD 1,407 / approx. Rs. 116,670) in Europe and GBP 1,099.99 (USD 1,394 / approx. Rs. 115,590 ) in the UK for the single 12GB + 512GB model. It will be available for pre-order from March 25 and will go on sale from March 1.
Our opinion
The Honor Magic 6 Pro is an exceptional flagship phone that offers impressive hardware, innovative features and an elegant design. One has to admire its stunning OLED display and powerful camera system. In addition, the tts’ long-lasting battery and smooth operation confirm that it is a keeper in terms of value for money. There are areas where improvements could be made, such as the software experience and the lack of an included charger. However, the overall package that the Honor Magic 6 Pro offers is hard to beat. If you’re in the market for a flagship phone that offers both style and substance, the Honor Magic 6 Pro is definitely worth a look.
