The entire tech sector is booming right now with blockchain-based Web3 making inroads across all verticals. In a new development, Google Cloud has teamed up with Layer-1 blockchain platform Sui to integrate blockchain solutions with artificial intelligence (AI) and other technology initiatives. As part of this partnership, Google is taking another step in driving Web3 innovation globally. Although Google Cloud is already a big name in the technology sector, the Sui platform was created by Mysten Labs, working to promote Web3 technologies into mainstream adoption.

Now that Google Cloud and Sui have entered into a partnership, both planned to work on improving the security and scalability of AI-based Web3 applications. As for Sui, the platform hopes to drive engagement around its entire ecosystem and native token represented as SUI through this partnership with Google Cloud.

“Sui’s advanced blockchain technology and commitment to user-friendly experiences make them a valuable partner to deliver transformative applications that can be easily adopted by Web3 and Web2 developers,” said Amit Zaveri, vice president and general manager and head of the platform. Google Cloud in an official statement.

In recent days, Mysten Labs has developed a new AI-powered code auditing tool. This tool uses Google Cloud capabilities to identify vulnerabilities in cloud-based security protocols. Previously, Sui also used Google’s Cloud Vertex AI generative AI platform to help Web3 developers identify and remediate vulnerable code.

“Partnering with Google Cloud helps us drive the development of secure, scalable and user-centric Web3 experiences. Google Cloud’s AI capabilities complement Sui’s unique technological advantages, enabling all types of developers to build the next generation of decentralized applications on Sui,” added Evan Cheng, CEO and co-founder of Mysten Labs to the official statement.

For Google, Web3 has emerged as an area of focus for some time. Back in 2022, Google launched its Blockchain Node Engine on Google Cloud – capable of deploying fully managed blockchain nodes in the cloud.

In order to cater to the growing Web3 and cryptocurrency community, earlier this year Google decided to display crypto wallet balances by simply searching Google for the wallet address.
