Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition launches with the industry’s first super dynamic Eagle Eye camera

Honor hosted a launch event in China today. This event brought many new products including Honor Band 9 and many more. The main highlight, however, is the new Magic 6 Ultimate Edition. Design of Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition

At first glance, Magic 6 Ultimate Edition has a unique appearance. With a leather texture and designer lines, the phone stands out. There is a unique rear camera module located in the center of the phone. The phone is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 227 grams. Magic 6 Ultimate Edition in two color options including black and purple.

Specifications

The latest flagship phone from Honor gets a 6.8-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED screen. It has a resolution of 2800×1280. On the front, you can also see a pill-shaped notch that houses the front-facing camera.

In terms of performance, the phone is powered by a flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. You can pair it with 16GB of RAM and 512GB/1TB of storage.

According to Ithome, the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition boasts an advanced imaging system featuring a super dynamic SLR-level Eagle Eye camera. The advanced camera setup includes the industry’s first Super Dynamic Eagle Eye main camera, the H9800 (based on the OmniVision OV50K sensor). With a large 1/1.3″ sensor, an impressive dynamic range of 15EV and a flexible F1.4-2.0 variable aperture, this camera delivers exceptional image quality. In addition, the camera system features OIS, a 1200-point lidar focusing system and a LOFIC image sensor.

As for the battery life, the phone has a capacity of 5600mAh. The phone can be charged with 80W wired and 676W wireless charging. Additionally, notable features include IP68 certification for water and dust resistance and two-way satellite communication.

Pricing

There are two variants of the smartphone. You can get the 16/512GB variant for 6,999 yuan (~$972). While the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model is priced at 7,699 yuan (~$1,069). The phone is now up for pre-order in China and will hit the market on March 22. However, Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition includes some spicy things, including the unique camera system, but we can only conclude about the real – life tests.
