Huawei Watch Fit 3 design, leaked color options; It looks similar to the Apple Watch

The Huawei Watch Fit 3 is expected to launch later this year and will be the successor to the Huawei Watch Fit 2. The smartwatch started circulating from the rumor mill and has appeared online through several leaks. A new leak suggests that the alleged watch’s design will be similar to that of the Apple Watch. A tipster has shared leaked design renders of the expected smart wearable, which also hint at its color and strap options. It is also believed that the Watch Fit 3 will come with major UI upgrades.

Tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) shared a series of images on X (formerly Twitter) that suggests the design of the Huawei Watch Fit 3. To the naked eye, the design of the smartwatch seen in these images is almost indistinguishable from that of the Apple Watch. It shares a similar boxy look, with even the placement of the rotating crown and navigation button in the exact same place as the Apple Watch.

However, small differences emerge if you look closely. The leaked design renders of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 are seen with thicker bezels around the display than on the Apple Watch. There also seems to be a difference between the metal finish on the bodies. Huawei’s version will likely have a more polished and sleeker look than Apple’s watches.

One of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 variants in the leaked renders is seen with a gold body with orange leather straps. Four variants are seen with a silicone strap sharing the body and strap colors which include black, light green, pink and white. Also seen are two models with red rotating crowns and red-accented navigation buttons. One of them appears to come with a Milan strap, similar to an option offered with the Watch Fit 2 model.

The specifications and launch details of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 have not been revealed. However, recently another tipster Fixed Digital Focus (translation from Chinese) shared in a post on Weibo (through Gizmochina) that the smartwatch is likely to be launched after the 2024 Spring Festival. It is said to come with a 2.5D display and a “flagship-level crown”. The watch is also expected to come with major UI changes. It could arrive with HarmonyOS 4.2 or the upcoming HarmonyOS NEXT pre-installed, according to the leak.
