Motorola will launch its new premium smartphone series Motorola Edge on April 3 in India. Called the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, the device has been teased for the past few days and even got its own microsite on India’s Flipkart. The device will carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and will offer some solid specs for the upper mid-range market. Not surprisingly, this smartphone will not be the only model in the line. If there is a Pro, we can also expect a vanilla Motorola Edge 50. However, he looks like we’ll be getting a Motorola Edge 50 Fusion variant as well. It will be at the lower end according to the recently spotted Geekbench benchmark.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Key specifications have been revealed on Geekbench

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has appeared on Geekbench’s online database. The device ran Geekbench 6 tests and achieved a score of 913 points. In the multi-core department, it reached an interesting 2629 points. Under the hood, the smartphone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. For those unfamiliar, the SD 6 Gen 1 is the lower end offering in the Snapdragon Gen series. It has 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. This is a modest chipset for everyday use of applications and basic games.

Geekbench also confirms the phone with Android 14 out of the box. At this stage, however, this is hardly a surprise. Thanks to previous leaks, we know that this smartphone will have a 6.7-inch pOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The phone has a 50 MP primary camera and a 32 MP selfie camera. It will come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It will have a large 5000 mAh battery with 68W wired charging. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will be sold in Peacock Pink, Tidal Blue and Ballad Blue. The latter will come with a faux leather finish.

Right now, we don’t know exactly when the smartphone will be released. However, we expect to hear more from Motorola soon. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will open the doors to this lineup on April 7, and other variants should follow suit.
