Nothing has a sub-brand called CMF that focuses mainly on accessories. It is a budget oriented brand offering headphones, chargers and other accessories. Little did we expect, however, that Nothing also has plans for something spicier for CMF. It turns out that Nothing may be preparing to launch a new smartphone under the CMF. This will be the first CMF-branded smartphone.
Clues about the first CMF smartphone arrived from the BIS certification spotted by 91 Mobile phones. A phone with model number ‘A015’ has been spotted in the database and is mentioned as a CMF product. This confirms that it does not belong to Nothing; as earlier speculation was that it was the Nothing Phone 3. The phone could instead be the CMF Phone (1).

What does CMF Phone (1) have to offer?
There is no official name for the CMF phone, but let’s call it the CMF Phone (1) for now. Since their first phone is spotted in the Indian database, we’ll assume that the first target market is India. Therefore, the company will compete with brands like Xiaomi, Realme and many others. To keep up with these companies, they will need to provide high performance devices with an aggressive price point.
