The Philips 5000 series indoor 360-degree camera was launched in India on April 24. The camera was also presented at CES 2024. The security camera supports video recording in 2K quality without the need for a constant Wi-Fi connection. Footage can be stored on the SD card and later uploaded to the appropriate app or cloud when there is an internet connection. The camera can be monitored using the companion Philips smartphone app. It also has a night vision feature that captures images in black and white.

The internal 360-degree Philips 5000 series camera features a 3-megapixel image sensor and supports 2K (2304 x 1296 pixels) video recording. You can choose to record 24 x 7 using a microSD card up to 128 GB. It also supports offline recording, where without an active Internet connection, the camera can record to the microSD card or optional cloud backup, which requires a monthly fee.

The security camera is compatible with the Philips Home Safety app. Users can control some of the camera functions and monitor security footage using the app. It is also equipped with a two-way talk function and a siren that allows you to talk back and answer through the app. The camera is also said to use AI-powered motion detection tools to detect people, pets and sounds, including that of a baby crying.

Additionally, the internal 360-degree Philips 5000 series camera can record continuously for up to seven and a half days with 15.82GB of recording per day. The camera measures 174mm x 158.5mm x 99mm and weighs 655g. Supports black and white night vision and infrared visibility up to 10 meters. It can also be rotated or tilted from -10 degrees to 25 degrees and comes with built-in microphones, speakers and sirens.
