Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ in India earlier this year. It’s been a few months and the launches have cooled down, what better way to bring some heat to a smartphone than with a special edition release? Out of nowhere, teased Xiaomi and now officially introduced Redmi Note 13 Pro+ World Champions Edition in the country. The goal (pun intended) is to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary in the world’s second largest smartphone market. It’s a little curious to see an Argentina-themed smartphone in India, but since the country has some supporters of the sport, the idea isn’t entirely coincidental.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ World Champion Editions arrives with a unique design

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ World Champions Special Edition shares the hardware with the standard version. However, it comes with a special retail package with a blue and white design that is inspired by the Argentina soccer team that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The retail package includes a power adapter and a gold SIM eject tool with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) logo on it. The logo is also on the back panel of the smartphone with the number 10. The entire back is decorated with elements resembling the team’s uniform. Back to the number 10, it is the jersey number of Lionel Messi, who captained the Argentina team that won the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Also, the number serves to mark Xiaomi’s 10th anniversary in India.
