Apple’s latest iPad mini is on sale for $120 off. You can get a 256GB version of the iPad mini 6th generation (2021) for $529 on Amazon — a record low. If that’s more storage than you need, you can also get 64GB model (normally $500) is $100 off.
Apple refreshed the iPad mini in 2021 with an “all-screen” Liquid Retina design, removing the Home button and bringing the mini-tablet in line with the modern design language of the larger iPad Air. The iPad mini has an 8.3-inch display that supports TrueTone and covers the P3 color gamut. It has a resolution of 2266 x 1488 (326 ppi).
This model is powered by the A15 Bionic chip, which is also found in the iPhone 13 series. This tablet eschews Face ID for a Touch ID sensor on the power and sleep button. iPad mini has a USB-C port for multi-functional charging and data transfer, and works with the second-generation Apple Pencil for note-taking or digital sketching. Apple estimates up to 10 hours of battery life, which may vary depending on how you use it.
Apple will reportedly update its entire iPad lineup this year, and recent rumors point to a possible release of a new iPad mini in late 2024. If these reported plans come to fruition, that model could be the latest for just six more to eight months.
If you want a full-sized tablet, Walmart has the iPad Air 5th generation (10.9-inch) for $120 onf too. You’ll only pay $449 for the 64GB variant. This model runs on an M1 chip with a resolution of 2360 x 1640 (264 ppi) and an estimated battery life of 10 hours.
