Realme recently took the wraps off the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+. The company plans to launch the vanilla Realme 12+ 5G very soon on March 6. It will launch earlier in Malaysia on February 29. When it comes to India, the 12+ 5G won’t be the only smartphone to go on sale in March. The company announced that it will also launch the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G in India in March.

The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G is coming in March with a 50MP OIS camera

For those who don’t know, the Realme Narzo series usually consists of budget smartphones with affordable prices and modest specifications. Therefore, the Narzo 70 Pro should remain loyal to this principle, providing mid-range specifications with a focus on screen and battery life. Realme has so far not detailed the specifications of the Narzo 70 Pro 5G. However, it did confirm that the phone will come with a 50MP Sony IMX890 as the primary camera. The most interesting detail is that the company has confirmed that it will have OIS. The presence of OIS is something quite remarkable for a budget smartphone.

Gizchina News of the week

With optical image stabilization, the Narzo 70 Pro 5G will be one of the few low-end smartphones to include such a feature. This also suggests that we will start seeing this feature on more low-end smartphones in Realme’s portfolio. Other than the main camera, no further details are available on this camera setup. However, the teaser image suggests a large circular island with three or four camera modules. Apart from the main camera, we can expect at least a macro and a depth module.

Under the hood, the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G will carry a 5G chipset, and we believe it will be one of MediaTek’s Dimensity 5G chips. The device will also feature a large display and we expect a 5,000 mAh battery with at least 33W fast charging support. Of course, Realme will continue to tease the details in the coming weeks. While the Realme 12+ 5G has an official launch date, the Realme Narzo 70 Pro could launch anytime in the next month. So there is still plenty of time for Realme to share teasers. Another interesting fact is that if there is a Realme Narzo 70 Pro, we expect a vanilla Realme Narzo 70 to join as well.
