Sensor Tower, an authoritative market research agency, has published its latest report on the gaming market in January 2024. One interesting aspect of this report is the most popular games worldwide by revenue. According to the report, the most popular game in the world in January 2024 by revenue is Tencent’s Honor of Kings. This game attracted $233 million in the global App Store and Google Play in January 2024. It is important to note that Sensor Tower’s data does not include third-party Android channels. Honor of Kings returns to topping the global best-selling mobile games list after a few months on the sidelines.

According to the report, thanks to multiple activities such as new skins, new seasons, and limited-time skin returns, “Honor of Kings” reached its peak single-day sales in January on January 5.

“Monopoly GO!” of Scopely ranks second on the list with $227 million in revenue. This game slips one position into second place. Recall that this was the most popular game in terms of revenue last month. Sensor Tower reported this 78% of this game’s revenue comes from the US market. The Singapore market accounted for 3.3% and the UK market for 3.2%. The other three games on the top five grossing list are Dream Games’ Royal Match, Roblox and King’s Candy Crush Saga.
