ZTE nubia Pad 3D II launches with glasses-free 3D experience

During MWC 2024, ZTE brought a completely new tablet from its Nubia series. The device is called Nubia Pad 3D II and as the name suggests, it provides a 3D experience to the users. It continues the legacy of the first tablet and stands as a glasses-free 3D tablet. The new model brings 5G connectivity and AI-based enhancements. The company is marketing it as “the world’s first 5G + AI 3D tablets. A tablet can be an interesting option if you like the 3D viewing experience but can’t handle the glasses to use it.

New device for glasses-free 3D experience

The Nubia Pad 3D II features a 12.1-inch 2.5K screen. It features unique liquid crystal lenses and is powered by integrated image processing algorithms that render 3D images with enhanced realism and natural vibrancy. Compared to the first generation tablet, the new Nubia Pad 3D II has an 80% increase in 3D resolution and a 100% increase in 3D brightness. It also has comprehensive optimization in 3D cross-talk, 3D color and 3D energy efficiency. According to the company, combining these elements significantly improves the 3D visual experience of users.

The tablet is powered by an AI processing engine. Therefore, it comes with AI eye tracking support that uses high-speed visual sensors and eye recognition algorithms to deliver 3D images. They appear in a more natural and realistic way.

There’s also a feature called the Super Biomimetic Eye AI engine, which offers a 2.5x increase in optimal 3D shooting range. Moving forward, AI neural network deep learning technology brings Neovision 3D Anytime technology to life. With a simple click, various forms of 2D content, including photos, games and videos, can be transformed into glasses-free 3D visualizations.

ZTE Nubia Pad 3D II Technical Specifications

The 12.1-inch display actually comes with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. It’s an IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the tablet is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform with 512 GB of UFS 4.0 memory and LPDDR5X RAM. It has dual 13 MP rear cameras and dual 8 MP front cameras. The tablet also comes with four stereo speakers and DTS:X ultra for immersive 3D sound effects. In terms of connectivity, it comes with 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a Type-C port. The tablet has a 10,000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
