The reasons for performing the work on site are said to be performance and security issues. However, the new report suggests that the reason is likely to be the fact that the development of GTA 6 started to “lag”. This was suggested to Kotaku by an anonymous source. It also states that because of this, Rockstar’s management is nervous and concerned about the possibility of missing the 2025 release year. The source also revealed that Rockstar is still aiming to launch the game in the spring of 2025, but if still needs some development, eventually the game will be missed until 2026.
If GTA 6 is delayed it will be very sad. But I would prefer a polished product instead of a broken one. There is a huge buzz about GTA 6 in the gaming community and Rockstar has the responsibility to deliver it.
