Previous title: Vice President of Community Health and Wellness; regional director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Trinity Health

In his new role for the Rhode Island-based health system, Zollicoffer develops Lifespan’s strategy to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace. The CEO is tasked with increasing diverse representation at all levels of the organization.

She is also responsible for ensuring that DEI perspectives are woven into decision-making processes.

Zolicofer also works to ensure Lifespan promotes change in the larger community the health system serves, according to an announcement about her appointment.

“Christine is a dynamic leader with an impressive track record of delivering results in dynamic healthcare environments,” Lifespan Interim President and CEO Arthur Sampson said in a statement.

Zollikofer previously led DEI strategy and training at Michigan-based Trinity Health and launched initiatives including executive and leadership training on unconscious bias.
