OnePlus Watch 2 with AMOLED display, Snapdragon W5 and Dual-OS arrives with a price of $300

As expected, OnePlus took at Mobile World Congress to unveil its latest step into the smartwatch scene. The OnePlus Watch 2 is the company’s latest smartwatch and comes with a host of interesting features like dual-OS and dual-chip architecture. Let’s see what the new smartwatch has in this article.

OnePlus Watch 2 – Key Features

The OnePlus Watch 2 comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with an impressive 1000 nits of peak brightness. Allows you to easily view and respond to notifications under direct sunlight. The phone also allows the user to make and answer phone calls via Bluetooth. The watch is equipped with 32 GB of dedicated storage. Apart from apps, you can also use it to download songs from YouTube Music and Spotify. The wearable is compatible with most Bluetooth headphones, so you can store music in the watch and use the TWS earpiece to listen to the song.

The OnePlus Watch 2 and the OHealth app now offer support for Android’s Health Connect. It offers a central hub in Android 14 to manage data permissions from multiple health and fitness apps and devices. With the user’s permission, users can securely sync their health data collected through the watch or the OHealth app with Health Connect-compatible apps, the company said. Interestingly, the smartwatch also has military durability. It has 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance and over 100 sports modes. The watch has built-in dual-band GPS to accurately track all your activity and offers additional data for running, badminton, tennis and skiing.

OnePlus Watch 2 – Dual OS and Dual Chipset Design

As usual with smartwatches, the OnePlus Watch 2 comes with heart rate, blood oxygen saturation monitoring and stress detection. All information is collected in the OnePlus O Health app. One of the most interesting details is that this is a smartwatch with two operating systems. It uses both Wear OS, powered by the Snapdragon W5 chip, and its own RTOS-based operating system. The watch has a 500 mAh battery and promises up to 100 hours of battery life in smart mode. In power-saving mode, it promises up to 12 days of battery life. It supports VOOC fast charging and offers a full day of power in just 10 minutes of charging.

The wearable has a round dial with a premium look overall. The display is covered with scratch-resistant 2.5D sapphire glass. The secondary chip is a BES 2700 processor. The wearable comes with Bluetooth 5.3 with a microphone and built-in speakers for Bluetooth calls. The overall dimensions of the watch are 47×46.6×12.1mm. It weighs 49 grams without the strap and 80 grams with the strap.
