Qualcomm has confirmed that it will host an event to announce new flagship Snapdragon chipsets. The chip maker is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chips at the event, as the company’s latest SoCs. Both chipsets are reported to be built on the same architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which was unveiled in October 2023. In particular, the soon-to-be-launched Realme GT Neo 6 series is rumored to feature both the upcoming the processor.

The event was reported via a post on Weibo (through GizmoChina), where the company said (as translated by Google), “The new Snapdragon flagship is about to be released [..] Wisdom is at the core. On March 18th, please look forward to the launch conference of Snapdragon’s flagship new product.” .

Although Qualcomm did not reveal which chipsets are being introduced, GizmoChina’s report claims that it could be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoCs. Both processors have been heavily rumored for the past few months, and various leaks have highlighted multiple smartphones likely to be equipped with them. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset is reported to include one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.01GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.61GHz and three Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 1.84GHz in PROCESSOR. It is said to be paired with an Adreno 735 GPU.

On the other hand, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC may include one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 2.9 GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and three Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz in its processor, which is said to be paired with an Adreno 732 GPU. Both the chipsets are reported to be based on the same architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

An earlier report claimed that the Realme GT Neo 6 series could be equipped with both the rumored chipsets to become one of the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s new silicon. The standard model is expected to get the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, while the Realme GT Neo 6 SE may get the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip. Apart from them, the iQOO Neo 9, OnePlus Ace 3V and Vivo Pad 3 may also run on the upcoming processors.
