Redmi India is preparation for a big online event tomorrow in India. The company will introduce a new special edition Redmi Note 13 Pro+ developed with the Argentine Football Association. The limited edition device will get a special launch event starting at noon YouTube.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ AFA Edition is expected to launch and come with an exclusive AFA-branded box and accessories. Apart from these extra goodies that are only found in limited edition smartphones, we expect the phone to have the same specifications as a regular Redmi Note 13 Pro+. Maybe the special edition will use the best configuration.
This is an intriguing special edition smartphone for the Indian market. However, we believe it might appeal to Indian users who love football and the FIFA World Cup. Also, maybe the Argentina football team got some Indian supporters after winning the World Cup. We’ll see how this phone performs in the coming weeks.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ Specifications
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 2712 x 1220 pixels. It has a perforated cutout for the selfie camera. The panel comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ support and 1800 nits of peak brightness. It is also IP68 dust/water resistant and comes with Nano-SIM, eSIM or Dual SIM support. The phone is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, and the back is covered with regular glass or silicone polymer in the eco-leather variant.
Under the hood, the phone packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The Dimensity 7200 Ultra is a decent octa-core chipset with ARMv9 technology. There are 2 x ARM Cortex-A715 cores running at 2.8 GHz and 6 x ARM Cortex-A510 cores running at up to 2.0 GHz. The GPU is Mali-G610 MC4.

200 MP main camera and 120 W fast charging
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ gets a 200 MP primary camera with PDAF and optical image stabilization. It also has an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter with 120-FOV and a 2 MP f/2.4 macro camera. The selfie shooter is a 16 MP unit with f/2.4 aperture, HDR and 1080p/60fps video recording. In terms of multimedia, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ comes with stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ comes with Wi-Fi 6 with dual-band connectivity. It has Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP and LE. The phone also comes with GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO and QZSS navigation. It also has NFC depending on the region. The traditional IR Blaster is present here, and the phone has a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support.
The lights are powered by a 5000mAh battery with 120W wired charging support. The phone comes with PD 3.0 charging support and Redmi claims a 100% charge in just 19 minutes. Normally, the regular Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is sold in Midnight Black (Fashion Black), Moonlight White (Fashion White), Aurora Purple (Fashion Purple) and Camo Green colors. Judging by the teasers, the special edition Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will come in a blue color with an Eco Leather back cover.
Special edition can bring unique design
We also expect the AFA Team logo with three stars in gold to feature somewhere on the back of the phone. The image below comes courtesy of tipster Ishan Agarwal and shows the phone being used in public places. We can see a dual tone with several stripes resembling the Argentinian’s uniform. Anyway, we expect Xiaomi to bring some special themes and ringtones with the special edition.
Details like price and availability are still a mystery. We know that the phone will reach India first, but we expect it to reach other markets as well. More details will come in the next few hours and we’ll cover all the details.
