Like its sibling, the iQOO 10 Pro, the vivo iQOO 11S also boasts 200W ultra-fast charging for its 4700mAh battery. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect that it can fully charge its battery in approximately 10 minutes. Conversely, the new iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro have opted for 120W fast charging instead.
Redmi Note 12 Explorer – 210W
Redmi Note 12 Explorer is equipped with an impressive 210W ultra-fast charging capability and has a 4300 mAh battery. As claimed by the company, this allows the device to fully charge its battery in just 9 minutes. Essentially, users can charge their mobile phones from 1 to 100% while getting ready to leave the house in the morning, ensuring they have enough time for their daily activities.
Realme GT5 – 240W
The Realme GT5, launched in September 2023, remains the fastest charging mobile phone on the market. It comes in two versions: one with 150W charging, which is already part of this list, and another known as the Realme GT5 240W, with 240W ultra-fast charging.
According to the company’s claims, this technology allows charging from 1 to 20% of the battery in just 80 seconds. In addition, a full 100% charge is achieved in less than 10 minutes.
300W coming soon
Realme has revealed its 300W fast charging technology, which promises to charge your phone from 1 to 100% in just 5 minutes – a feat that would have seemed incredible just a few years ago. Although this technology is not yet available in any of the brand’s models, it is expected to make its debut this year in a smartphone that is likely to be crowned as the world’s fastest charging mobile phone.
Fast Charging Tips and Tricks:
-
Power from the wall. Wall outlets deliver more current (amps) than computer USB ports, so you’ll get a faster charge.
-
Airplane mode to win. Put your phone in airplane mode to stop battery-draining features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi while charging.
-
Turn off the power completely (if possible). Turning off the phone completely allows for the fastest charging, as no background processes are using power.
-
Minimize phone usage while charging. The screen and processing power drain the battery, so limit the use of your phone while it’s on.
-
Consider the quality of the cable. A thicker gauge cable (usually 24 gauge) can handle more amps than standard cables, allowing for faster charging.
-
Keep it cool: Heat slows down charging. Avoid using your phone while charging and remove any cases that may trap heat.
-
Fast Charger Compatibility: Make sure your charger and cable are compatible with your phone’s fast charging technology (eg USB-C power).
-
Be aware of the trade-off between battery life and heat. While fast charging is convenient, it can generate more heat, which can slightly reduce battery life over time. Use it strategically when needed.
