WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for all iOS users that adds a small change to the interface and a new feature in the video calling functionality. The new update was released on Monday and since it is a global stable release, it will be available for all iPhone users. Users can find the update in the App Store by searching for WhatsApp. The new update widely deploys the green buttons and interface design, as well as adds redesigned interface elements.

The new WhatsApp for iOS update brings the build version to 24.9.74. All supported iPhone models will be able to install it as soon as it becomes available. The update is sent in batches, so some users may receive it after a delay of several days. WhatsApp says everyone will get the new features in the coming weeks.

Notably, the update adds green notification buttons and icons to all iOS users. The instant messaging platform first began experimenting with the feature last month. In the past few weeks, it has also been released to many Android users. After the update, the new message button as well as the icons for new groups, contacts and communities will be displayed in green. The unread message notification and number of unread messages displayed next to the chat list will also be shown in green. Green was already the default theme for night mode, although the color is now brighter. The color will also show up for those using the app in light mode.

Apart from that, the new WhatsApp update also pushes the new redesigned icons in the app. These were also seen in a previous beta update and are now rolling out to all users. With this interface redesign, the platform now uses consistent icons across its Android, iOS and web interface.

Finally, the company is also adding audio support for the screen sharing feature in video calls. Previously, when sharing their screen through the app, other participants wouldn’t be able to hear the audio being played on the device, instead only hearing the external audio captured through the microphone. Users will now be able to hear both audio channels together. This feature was also recently added to the app’s Android platform.
