Infinix, a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings, recently launched its latest mid-range model, the Note 40 series, at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. This new series includes the standard version Note 40 Pro (4G/5G) and the top model Note 40 Pro+.
Upgrade to All-Round Flash Charging 2.0 technology
Building on the success of the Note 30 series, the Note 40 models feature Infinix’s All-Round Flash Charging 2.0 technology. However, the company hasn’t added any major upgrades to this feature this time around. Infinix All-Round Flash Charging 2.0 technology features 100W multi-speed flash charging. It is able to increase the power to 50% in just 8 minutes. Additionally, the new technology introduces magnetic flash charging features. A standout feature is the introduction of Infinix’s first independently developed power management chip, the Cheetah X1.
Cheetah X1 power management chip
The biggest highlight of the new phone is the company’s first independently developed power management chip, Cheetah X1. The Cheetah X1 chip offers a significant performance increase of 204% compared to traditional chips. Its smaller size reduces the distance for current to pass through the phone, resulting in reduced heat generation and improved overall performance. The chip consists of three functional modules enabling support for various charging scenarios such as multi-speed flash charging, energy-saving direct charging, reverse charging and compatibility with multiple charging protocols.
Improved charging capabilities and safety features
The wireless charging power has been upgraded to 20W magnetic flash charging from the previous 15W. Infinix also introduced the Infinix MagKit, a wireless charging kit that includes a magnetic protective case, a MagPad charging pad and a MagPower power bank. These accessories offer users the convenience of wireless charging.

The Cheetah X1 chip features high-precision power detection to monitor incoming power in real-time and adjust settings to prevent overheating, ensuring the phone stays cool while charging. In addition, the chip includes 63 protection circuits to protect the entire charging process.
According to Infinix, the Note 40 series can be charged normally even in -20°C environments. In addition, the new phone also supports the direct charging feature for energy saving 2.0. This function can filter the current and reduce the heat of the phone when the user is playing games or watching TV series.
Users can charge other devices at speeds up to 10W via wired or wireless methods. With support for the PD3.0 protocol, users can even use mobile phone chargers to charge laptops, enhancing the device’s versatility.
CPU performance and specs
The Infinix Note 40 Pro and Note 40 Pro+ come with the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor. However, the standard version has the Helio G99 processor. The Pro+ model offers up to 24GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, beating the 16GB RAM limit of the standard and Pro versions.
Display and battery specifications
The series features a standard 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla G55 glass protection. In terms of design, this display adopts a 55-degree curved surface design. The Pro+ version is equipped with a 4600 mAh battery, while the Pro and Standard versions have 5000 mAh batteries.
Active Halo function and camera capabilities
Infinix introduces the ‘Active Halo’ feature, combining AI and design elements to illuminate the camera module with dynamic lighting effects. The series features advanced sensor zoom technology, a 108MP main rear camera with 3x lossless super zoom and optical image stabilization in the Pro models. The front camera is 32MP, satisfying users’ needs for selfies.
Availability and prices
The Note 40 series will be available globally from March 19. Available in retro green, obsidian black and titanium gold. Infinix will collaborate with BMW DesignWorks to launch a special edition racing color model later in the year. Prices start at $199 for the Note 40, $259 for the Note 40 Pro, $289 for the Note 40 Pro 5G, and $309 for the Note 40 Pro+ 5G. All models come with the Infinix XOS 14 operating system based on Android 14, with the Pro series enjoying two years of Android system upgrade services.
