Microsoft Surface Pro 10, Surface Laptop 6 will be launched in March

The Microsoft Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 could debut later this month, according to a new report. The tech giant was rumored to be working on its first artificial intelligence (AI) computers that could be integrated with the AI ​​features expected to be introduced in Windows 11 later this year. Microsoft PCs are rumored to launch with both Intel’s latest 14th generation and Qualcomm X-series chipsets. They are also expected to feature a next-generation Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

Citing unnamed sources in a report, Windows Central claims that both the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 could launch on March 21. The first AI PCs from Microsoft are also reported to be equipped with both the new Intel Core Ultra and the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite based chips. If true, this will be the first time Microsoft ships its Surface Laptop with Intel and Arm processor options.

While not much is known about the upcoming laptops, the report does mention some of its key specifications. The Microsoft Surface Pro 10 could feature an anti-glare and brighter OLED panel with support for HDR content. It is also said to come with a new webcam with an ultra-wide sensor. The webcam can be enhanced with AI Studio Effects arriving later this year and a built-in NFC reader. Its design is likely to remain the same as its predecessor.

The Surface Laptop 6, on the other hand, could get some design upgrades. It is reported to feature slimmer bezels with rounded corners for the display and a new touchscreen touchpad. Also, Microsoft announced a special Copilot key to be included in Windows laptops last year, and the laptop is expected to get it. The Laptop 6 is also said to bring a new set of ports, including two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port on the left side, while the Surface Connect magnetic charger can be placed on the right.

Additionally, both devices can get improved battery life and performance. The report claims that the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 could be made available to the market in two separate tranches. The first could be in April, which will only include the models with Intel chips, and the Arm models could arrive later in June.
