by Capcom Kunitsu-Gami: The Way of the Goddess coming out this year Capcom and Xbox released a new trailer today that shows more gameplay and more of the title. The game looks great.

Although there is no specific release date, Kunitsu-Gami: The Way of the Goddess will be a Day One Game Pass title for Xbox Series X|S and Windows. Also coming to PS5 and Steam store.

It’s a single-player action role-playing game with some time and resource management. During the day, you rescue and recruit villagers to your cause. After the sun goes down, you must juggle real-time strategic elements as you decide how each villager will help you fight against a villainous horde called The Seethe.

Main director Shuichi Kawata Shinsekai: Into the Deep. Kawata says his team is working on Kunitsu-Gami for four years and that they’re excited “and maybe a little nervous” to get everyone to finally get their hands on the game.

Capcom compared Kunitsu-Gami’s aesthetic to previous titles with traditional Japanese themes such as universally loved Okami. The game was developed using the RE Engine, which was originally designed for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

Kunitsu-Gami: The Way of the Goddess wasn’t the only news to come out of today’s Xbox Partner Showcase event. Final Fantasy XIV finally coming to Xbox consoles on March 21st and an expansion pass Persona 3: Recharge will bring new missions to the JRPG later this year.
